Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The quote tool asks for age, gender, general health, tobacco use, coverage amount and term length. Those six pieces of information are sufficient for the carriers to return their rates. Your full name, address and detailed health history are only collected when you choose to submit an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
They are the rates that each carrier quotes for the health class you selected in the tool. Your final premium is set by the carrier after their underwriting review, which may confirm your health class, improve it, or change it. The quotes on this site are estimates for comparison purposes only and are not a promise of coverage or price.
What happens when I click Apply?
You enter your name into the application, and it is created using the exact quote you selected. The process continues on the carriers' secure application platform, which you access directly. You can pause your application and resume it later, and you sign everything electronically. The application is submitted through Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129).
Will I need a medical exam?
That varies by carrier, coverage amount, and your health answers. Many carriers today offer quick-issue or accelerated underwriting paths where eligible applicants can get approved without a medical exam. Each quote clearly states whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not necessary for that carrier and amount.
Is a longer term better?
A term should cover the years during which your family or business would face real financial hardship if you were not here. That might be the years of a mortgage, while children are in school, or while you're repaying a business loan. Longer terms lock in a rate for more years but cost more per month. The tool lets you compare 10-, 15-, 20-, 25- and 30-year terms side by side.
Does this site sell my information?
